Environmental Tester
| Industry | Energy Services — Petroleum Fueling Systems |
| Location | Canonsburg, PA (Washington County) |
| Compensation | $42,837 – $63,233 per year |
| Details | Field / territory role |
A fueling-systems service company serving retail and commercial fueling sites across Western PA.
You'll keep fueling sites legal. This is compliance testing and inspection work at petroleum fueling locations — tank tightness, leak detection, and monitoring equipment verification — followed by the local, state, and federal paperwork that proves the site passed. You run your own work-order queue out of a stocked truck with very little looking over your shoulder, which is why it suits people who are used to being handed a mission and trusted to execute it.
What You'll Do
- Perform compliance testing and inspections at petroleum fueling locations
- Complete all required local, state, and federal paperwork promptly
- Meet the due dates on assigned work orders
- Follow each customer's safety and housekeeping protocols
- Maintain truck inventory to keep your first-time fix rate high
- Climb ladders to install and retrieve test equipment
- Work independently and manage your own time against deadlines
What You Need
- Mechanical background — hand tools, a trade, or industrial/commercial experience
- Ability to lift 10–50 lbs, with frequent kneeling, bending, reaching, and standing
- Comfortable on ladders
- Able to learn tablet, smartphone, and ticketing applications
- Strong independent communication
- Knowledge of applicable safety and technical regulations is a plus
